Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Wilmington follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Me and my wife and our son have been here a couple of times and I cannot stress enough how much you need to come here if you’re in the mood for ice cream., I’m not much of an adventurer when it comes to ice cream flavor but you can tell a lot about an ice cream shop based on their plain vanilla ice cream. I’ve been to a couple places in the area and this place is hands down the best. The employees are always pleasant and welcoming. It’s worth every penny whenever I come here.

Had a craving for ice cream, and found this local place. We loved their 6 flavor flight, every flavor was so good. We preferred the seasonal POG (passion fruit, orange, guava) sorbet, seasonal key lime, and the every day flavor caramelized banana.

Stopped by on the way out of Wilmington. Wonderful way to end a weekend. Staff was kind and helpful, and made sure our dietary restrictions were respected. The ice cream was delicious and creamy. And the shop just smelled wonderful.

The Wandering Cone is a delightful stop for ice cream lovers, offering both charm and creativity in every scoop. One of the highlights of our visit was their ice cream flight, which allows you to sample six mini scoops of different flavorsβ€”a perfect way to try a little bit of everything. It’s a fun, shareable option that makes decision-making easier if you’re stuck between too many tempting choices. We also tried the waffle bowl, and it did not disappointβ€”freshly made, crisp, and slightly sweet, it paired perfectly with the rich, creamy ice cream. Every flavor we tried tasted fresh, thoughtfully crafted, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, making it a great spot to unwind or enjoy a treat after a day out. Whether you’re a classic vanilla fan or more adventurous with your choices, The Wandering Cone delivers on quality and fun. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a sweet and satisfying stop in Wilmington!
